Working towards a better future

Calling on everyone who can spare an hour on Saturday 24 March to tidy up a little bit of our town and make it ready for Spring.

There are lots of hiding places where litter and general rubbish accumulates ...we know them and get annoyed about them...but the regular street cleaners, including Citizen of the Year Colin, can’t be everywhere, so local knowledge is essential. Your own street, nearby bushes, waste plot,
favourite walk, can be tackled without any need to go far, and the Annual Litterpick team will provide necessary collection bags and litter picks, even high viz overvests for the safety- or- fashion- conscious.

Any individual or group who can volunteer some time should contact the Development Trust Secretary before hand to say what area they will clean, or to identify an area that needs more than a basic litter pick to clear it.

On Saturday 24 March there will be a collection point for gear in the Meadows carpark behind the Riverside Bar 10am-4pm. Collections of rubbish can then be returned there, or left at the car park of the Myrtle Inn, where Stirling Council vans will load them for transporting to HQ.

Reminders will also appear on Facebook and on posters throughout the town.
