A great place to live
Find out about the organisations and groups helping make Callander a great place to live and work.
The Community Council is made up of residents from the local community. It acts as a voice for the local area and aims to represent the views of the community to Stirling Council, Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and other public or private groups as needed. It is involved in planning applications, and administers the Braes of Doune Community Fund.
Callander Community Development Trust
CCDT is a charitable organisation of volunteers that takes on practical projects for the benefit of the community. These include running the community hydro company and managing applications for the Hydro Awards fund, running the Visitor Information Centre, developing the Local Place Plan, as well as supporting groups such as Greener Callander, Callander Woodland Group, Craigard Club, Callander Landscape Partnership, and adapting an empty Main Street business site for residential use.
