In 2012 landscaping was commissioned from Cruachan for two conifers in tiered beds on site of disused fountains and replanting of beds on either side with advice from designer Jayne Whitehead of Ivy Maud.

Funding obtained from the National Park Community Grants scheme and Callander and West Perthshire Rotary Club.

Regularly maintained and upgraded by Greener Callander.

Funds were donated early on by Callander Round Table.

In 2018 two new wooden planters were made by John MacIsaac for the foot of the steps.

In March 2019 the old, battered conifers were replaced by new shrubs which are much smaller but colourful. The space around them was filled with primulae and wallflowers to match the lower boxes.
