The Community Council is consulted on all planning applications within the area.

Roads
A member of the council monitors roads, pavements and car parks and reports problems to Stirling Council, Scottish Water and/or Transport Scotland (BEAR) as appropriate, and checks subsequent action.

The Community Council manages the Braes of Doune Community Fund to support projects or activities that will benefit Callander.

Recently Completed Projects

Bracklinn Bridge Replacement
Work to install a replacement bridge at Bracklinn Falls in Callander was completed at the end of February 2023. Read the announcement from the Loch Lomond and Trossachs Nation Park.

Camp Place Play Park
The Camp Place Play Park refurbishment was a joint programme between Stirling Council and Callander Community Council. The upgrade, delivered in June 2022, has provided a variety of new play equipment including a multiplay frame, a pendulum swing, a net rope climber and outdoor gym equipment, including two bikes, one of which is inclusive, at which people can charge up their phones as they pedal.
