Glendaruel Bed & Breakfast

Glendaruel Bed & Breakfast is a detached bungalow in the scenic village of Aberfoyle. It was built 120 years ago and was the original police station in Aberfoyle. Set in the heart of the Trossachs and in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Glendaruel B&B nestles below Creag Mhor and backs onto the ancient forest.

We have two double en-suite rooms with tea and coffee facilities, TV, DVD, wireless broadband connection and comfortable seating. Ample parking and storage for bikes if required. Outside at the front of the house guests can sit down and enjoy the tranquility of their surroundings.

Less than a 5 minute walk from the centre of Aberfoyle in the Trossachs, amidst some breath-taking views of Ben Lomond and the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, are the amenities of shops, pubs, restaurants and the Tourist Information Centre.

There are Many activities on our door step; in and around Aberfoyle we have miles of tracks and pathways for walkers and cyclists to explore. Go Country Water Sports ( are nearby and GoApe (which has the UKs longest zip wire) is situated beside The David Marshall Lodge Visitor Centre – well worth a visit for an exhilarating experience! You can also see some live footage of wild osprey. Horse riding is 10 minutes away.

For the fishermen we have Scotland's premier fishing ground – the stunning Lake of Menteith and more locally the scenic Loch Ard. Golfers have Aberfoyle Golf Course with many more courses to choose from. The famous Gleneagles is only a 40 minute drive from Glendaruel B&B.

The Historic cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling with their castles, museums, parks, restaurants and diverse range of shops are all within an hours drive. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, touring or just to relax, a one night stay is definitely not long enough to soak up some of Scotland's most panoramic views of its Lochs and Glens. Aberfoyle in the Trossachs has much to offer every one.

We charge £65 per room per night and breakfast, which is served in the dining room, is free. If you would like to dine out in the evening there is an excellent taxi service available by prior arrangement to pick up and drop off.
