Located just off the A84, 5 miles west of Callander on the shore of Loch Lubnaig, THE CABIN is the ideal place to break your journey to the Highlands.
Offering facilities for a short rest break on your journey or an overnight stop we are sure that you will be delighted by your stay here.
Come and enjoy some locally produced refreshments, test your skills with a fishing rod or enjoy a gentle stroll along the shore.
Food & Drink
Our aim is to provide the best possible hot and cold food for your pleasure. We aim to keep our menu simple so that our ingredients reach you as fresh as they left the farm. We also provide freshly ground coffee, a selection of teas, soft drinks and fresh baking made on the premises. Where possible we use local or Scottish suppliers and aim to support local farmers and artisan producers.
Camping & Motorhomes
We have 9 pitches for tents and 2 sites for motorhomes. The sites are located on the loch shore with fantastic views. Each pitch is equipped with a table seating 6 and a bbq stand.
Activities
Fishing - Loch Lubnaig is the ideal location for some Loch fishing in the Loch Lomonds and Trossachs National Park. The Loch is not stocked so any fish you catch will be wild. There are salmon, trout and coarse fish in the Loch. We sell day and season permits for shore fishing and fishing from boats.
Swimming - Loch Lubnaig has become one of the premier open water swimming locations in Scotland. The deep water is fresh and clear but the long narrow loch surrounded by high hills is normally sheltered from the prevailing wind.
Canoeing and Boats - Loch Lubnaig is an ideal peaceful loch for canoeing. Customers are welcome to bring their own canoe and launch from the Cabin.
