Special This Year:

Trolling for Salmon on Loch Lubnaig from your own boat is available for only £15 per day or £70 per season. Permits and key to launch slipway available from Baynes Tackle shop in Callander. The £15 permit is for your boat and allows 3 anglers to fish. Most of the salmon from the Forth system runs through Lubnaig, so this permit must represent one of the best deals in the country for the salmon angler so if you have your own boat, why not give it a go.Best baits: copper toby, black and gold rapala. Best months: March to July.

Game fishing for salmon, sea trout or brown trout and in some places rainbow trout or grayling, can be enjoyed at a number of locations throughout the Park, many of which are in scenic highland situations. Boat fishing, as well as bank fishing, is available in many of the locations.

Most of the outlets which sell permits for brown trout fishing will also sell permits for coarse fish species that are also present. The following list includes locations where fishing for coarse species may be possible. It cannot be regarded as definitive and there is no guarantee that permits will be available. However, it is hoped that this list will provide a starting point for anyone primarily interested in coarse fish.
Species in the park incude pike, perch, roach, dace, bream, chub, carp and gudgeon.
